How do you recommend propping up the trailer for installation?

A few suggestions we have for propping up your trailer are using your existing jack, a stabilizer block, jack stands, or wood blocks. You will need at least 16-18” of height to properly install the JX.

Can the center jack (JXC) be welded rather than bolted?

Yes, at your discretion. But note it will void any warranty and return.

Do I need to grease the gears before use?

No, the JX will come already lubricated. We recommend greasing the internal gear system every 90 days. Please refer to the product manual.

What is the load capacity of the JX?

JX2-C & JX2-S: 1,200 lb standard lift, 600 lb lift with power drill, and 2,000 lb static capacity. JX5-C & JX5-S: 1,600 lb standard lift, 800 lb lift with power drill, and 5,000 lb static capacity.

What is the recommended drill torque setting?

We recommend keeping the torque setting as low as possible while still lifting the trailer. A heavier load will require a higher torque setting.

Does the JX come with a caster wheel?

Each JX comes standard with a foot plate. Jack Wheels are available as an option (TVJXMW)

Does the JX Center Mount come with bolts for installation?

Yes. All JX Center jacks come with three bolts and lock washers for installation to your trailer frame.

What type of Mount Bracket comes with the JX2-S and JX5-S?

The JX2-S comes with a spring loaded pull pin swivel bracket for a Max Frame Size Fit: 4.75 in high, 3.75 in deep . The JX5-S comes with a same size pipe mount swivel bracket and stow pin. (Only the JX5-S can also use the TVJLMB (Sold Separately) for frames from 4.75 inches to 5.75 inches) Note: both jacks need at least 8” of clearance to install.

What is the best position for the JX5-S Mount Bracket to be installed?

The connection point should be in the low position (recommended). However, it can be flipped to the high position if needed.

How much does the JX weigh?

JX2-S: 23 lbs JX5-S: 25 lbs JX2-C: 14 lbs JX5-C: 14 lbs

Can the JX be submerged in water?

The JX can be submerged in water for brief periods. However, we highly recommend rinsing the JX with fresh water after heavy salt water exposure.

Can the JX be stored outdoors?

Yes, the JX has three layers of weather protection and can be stored outdoors with your trailer.

What kind of drill should I use with the JX?

Any 20V-24V compact non-impact drill can be used with the Trailer Valet Drill Attachment.

How do I know when the jack is at the end of the extension or retraction?

Our JX series includes clearly implemented Warning and Stop indicators located at both the top and bottom of the inner tube. These markers are designed to prevent jack over-extension and protect against reaching the end of the gear travel, keeping your equipment safer and extending product life.

Lifesaver!

"This jack is a livlfesaver! My old jack completely gave up the same day this one arrived. My hook ups are so so so much easier with is jack to the point I look forward to using it. You can’t go wrong with this jack especially at this price! Great product!"

Albert K. (5/5)

Does what is advertised but...

"Some problems: 1. Circle mounting plate did not fit properly on my trailer hitch mounting holes since old jack was the standard triangle plate. Modifications were needed to be made to the jack. 2. The pretty black paint scratches easily & looks bad quickly. 3. The Trailer Valet logo label on jack came off after one day. 4. My trailer needed to be modified to allow the jack to fit in lower hole plate on hitch. The jack was slightly too thick. Summery: Jack works as advertised but much modifications was needed to fit on my trailer. The cosmetic look of the product looks nice out of the box but quickly looks bad do to the black paint scratching. The Trailer Valet logo was a cheep sticker that fell off quickly."

Q&A

What is the distance from the center of the mount point for the side mount JX and from the mounting plate on the center mount, to the bottom of the foot?

I have a car trailer I would like to upgrade the jack on currently it has a center jack that looks like it a triangular amount. How do I determine which Jack would best suit my needs
Hello! We have our center mount JX drill powered jacks that have a circular mount to fit on any trailer frame! We also have our side JX drill powered jacks as well that come with the bracket to attach it. Our jacks weight capacities are 2,000 lbs and 5,000 lbs. We also just released a 7,000 lbs side JX jack as well. Please feel free to reach out to support@trailervalet.com if you have any further questions, thank you!
I see the center mount jacks now come with a 3 position circular mount plate. Would I be able to rotate the jack and have the crank handle face the side of my trailer rather than facing forward?
Hello! Our new circular mount JX Jack actually now allows you to turn the jack any way that is best for you. Please feel free to reach out to support@trailervalet.com if you have any questions. You can also review the video below on our new JX Jack circular mount, thank you! https://youtu.be/389wTgzSX3s
I have an Escape 21C fiberglass travel trailer. Shipping weight is 4100 lbs. Tongue weight max is 600 lbs. Which manual jack that has the power drill socket attachment is best for this trailer?

The hole diameter for the tube to go thru on the tounge, what is that on this product?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out, the diameter on our JX inner tube is 51mm. I can provide the link to our page with other specs you may find useful. https://trailervalet.com/shop/jxc-center-mount-trailer-jack-2k/ feel free to reach out to support@trailervalet.com for any questions.
What are the dimensions of the manual handle when attached to the jack? How far from jack does it extend? I need to know if I have clearance to turn handle manually if I purchase.
Hello Edie, Thank you for your question. It is approximately 6.5 inches extended from the jack with handle. If you have any further questions please reach us at support@trailervalet.com or 844-846-9344. Best Regards, Trailer Valet Support Team
I have a JXC drill option 2000# jack. I need to change grease zert fitting to a 90 degree fitting. What is thread pattern on fitting? How often should you add grease and how much?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. You are able to change the grease fitting on our JX jacks. We don't have a exact time when you need to grease the jack. Like any other tool you would need to grease is regularly depending on the usage you put on the jack. I would suggest greasing it the moment you feel any struggling when cranking the jack I would add more grease.
When will the 2000 lb trailer valet be available?
