Is the Trailer Valet motorized?

To move the MV , you can use a cordless power drill with the included attachment. However, this method should only be used when moving your trailer on level surfaces. To avoid injury, the user should have a firm grip and ensure brake disengagement. We recommend using a cordless, non-impact electric drill with a torque output of at least 200 lb-in.

My trailer uses a standard A-Frame hitch assembly loaded with a battery, winch and propane tank, all of which consume space on the hitch tongue. Would the MV work with this?

The MV handles this well as you can use the coupler to move the trailer. This setup may prevent use of the unit with a JX or mounting bracket if there is not 8in of adequate space for installation.

Will the Trailer Valet work on inclines? What vehicle types does the trailer valet support?

Each Trailer Valet model can handle its own degree of slope depending on the weight of the trailer and tongue, surface type, and trailer weight distribution. We welcome you to send our support team a picture of the full surface (with clear surface type and angle of slope) including your trailer specs. We can help determine suitability for any of our products and make a recommendation. The MV supports recreational vehicles (RVs), boats, and other similarly sized towable vehicles.

What are the dimensions and weight? What is the plate on my hitch ball base for?

Install the plate by placing it under the ball before threading the ball into the cradle on the MV. It can be reversed if necessary to achieve a tight fit depending on the shape of your coupler.

Is the capacity different if using a JX Side mount?

When using the MV PRO with a jack attached, the weight limitation becomes that of the jack. In the case of a JX jack, it maintains its own weight capacity of 2,000 lbs for the JX2S and 5,000 lbs for the JX5S.

What is the towing capacity of the MV Pro? And Suggested Tongue Weight Capacity?

The MV Pro has a 12,000 pound towing capacity, and a tongue capacity of 600 lbs minimum to 1,200 maximum tongue weight capacity.

Will the Trailer Valet work on my dual-axle trailer?

The Trailer Valet functions well with dual axle trailers as long as your trailer weight distribution is properly shifted toward the front of the trailer. If you still have issues, Trailer Valet has 2000 lbs. Wheel Dollies that can lift the wheels on one axle relieving drag (TVWDX). The unit's use is limited when using a triple axle trailer. A very large turning radius is needed to turn a triple axle trailer. The trailer valet is a tempting solution if you are trying to reduce turning radius, but this is not possible. The horizontal traction of the trailer's wheels prevents this. If turning radius is not an issue, the mover will work well assuming you remain within tow limit ratings.

What is the gear ratio?

1.33 or 10:3 Upright Drill Adapter Gearbox 2.5 or 5:2 Low Gear (top left driveshaft, opposite of the upright gearbox) 2.7 or 27:10 High Gear (Lower driveshaft on either side)

What size of trailer can the Trailer Valet handle?

A Trailer Valet can handle any sized trailer provided it meets the weight limits of that particular model. We recommend inviting a second person to guide your trailer from the opposite end, especially in tight spaces, as turning requirements can vary widely according to the trailer’s dimensions.

What is the capacity of the MV Pro if using a mount bracket?

When using the mounting bracket, the rated capacity is reduced to 8,000 pounds. This is to account for any issues posed by potential side-loading of weight on your trailer.
