"Great quality hitch and just what I was looking for."
"Exactly what I expected. Already towed multiple trailers and super happy with it."
"Got it at Costco for $99. It’s well built and easy to adjust. I like that I can use the 2-5/16” for my utility trailer and travel trailer, and flip to the 2” for U-Haul stuff. My only complaint is that I wish it was available in a 2. 5” shank. I get a LOT of play using any reducer sleeve and have to clamp it down. I have other ball mounts with minimal play but that’s normal. This one moves around a lot. Aside from that, it’s a good unit. I’m using a 2015 Chevy 2500 HD with a factory class 5 receiver."
"Complete trash. Paid over $150 for this hitch and 6 month later the chrome is flaking off all over the top around both balls is rusted, both pins are rusted and the cheap steel has rust stains on the block part of the hitch. I would have gotten better quality at HF for 1/2 the price. Thing is made for parking lot prinssess not trucks that tow."
"I have this hitch on both my Tundras. With 3 boat trailers with different ball sizes as well as a kayak trailer, having the ability to adjust not only the ball size but height to accomodate each different trailer has been a HUGE time saver and easy to do. Best hitch I've ever owned by far!"
"Purchased this at COSTCO ($99.99). Very heavy duty. Love the powder coat hitch and the chrome balls. Only issue that I had was the pin to hold the hitch in the receiver. The pin is too short for double walled receivers like the 2024 Toyota Tacoma (my rig). The pin needs to be at least 3-5/8" long (preferably 4') to be able to go through the receiver completely. Fortunately, my truck came with a pin that fits the receiver. Other than that, this is nice piece of equipment. Highly recommended."
"When I got the hitch I couldn’t believe how much more robust and tough this hitch is! It’s towed everything from a 20ft bass boat to a 12k pound tractor on a trailer! Also does not rust out and the balls show almost no wear and tear! Heavy duty for any vehicle! I get comments on how amazing it looks too! Highly recommend the hitch! I do not take it easy on my hitches because I am towing all the time multiple times a week, strong and quality level is beyond anything I could’ve asked for. I highly recommend it no matter what you are towing!"
"Received my hitch about 2 weeks ago and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The quality is great and comparable to other far more expensive brands. The welds are clean and the double ball is heavy duty. The pins are quality pins. The black finish looks nice and seems to be really durable. I’ve taken my camper out, which ways 10k and about 12k loaded. The hitch tows well. Very little play. The shank fits just tight enough and has two different holes which is nice."
"When I first saw that I had a package at my front door, I got pretty excited because I have been wanting a new drop hitch for some time now. I bought the one I currently am using on a flash sale on the Home Depot website about 2.5 to 3 years ago and it has served me pretty well for what I have needed it for. The first reason I got a drop hitch was because I was tired of lugging around two different types of ball sizes for a skid steer trailer (2 5/16 inch ball) and my boat/atv/etc trailer (2 inch ball). With getting this first drop hitch it was also very nice that I could level all of my trailers so they would be pulling level. But it was time for a change, and in comes the Blackout 14,000 lbs 6 inch drop hitch from Trailer Valet. My first impression when I opened the box was it looked very clean and well put together. The black powder coat on the hitch assembly looks very well done and should hold up to the Minnesota winters I will be putting it through. I have only had the hitch for about 6 weeks, since I wrote this review, so I haven’t towed with it much yet but with being a general contractor I tow my tool trailer just about everyday from home to the jobsite and back home at the end of the day. Last year alone I put about 28,000 miles just with pulling my tool trailer so a good and well built drop hitch is a necessity for me being able to do my job efficiently. All in all, this hitch seems to be holding up to the abuse and the use I need from a drop hitch being in the construction trade. When the 6 month and the 1 year time frame come around, I will forsure be updating this review with a much more in depth picture to what I think of this drop hitch but right now 5 stars for sure!"
