The Trailer Valet JX 5K Side is a manual hand-crank jack that can also be powered by any 20–24V compact drill using the Trailer Valet Drill Attachment.

It offers a 5,000 lb static capacity, lifts 1,600 lbs by hand or 800 lbs by drill, and uses patented gears for efficient operation with reduced heat buildup.

The JX 5K Side features a protective sleeve for smooth operation, a pipe mount bracket, weather shield, and durable wrinkle black powder coating for long-lasting performance.

How do you recommend propping up the trailer for installation?

We suggest using your existing jack, stabilizer blocks, jack stands, or wood blocks. Make sure you have at least 16–18 inches of clearance to properly install the JX.

What is the load capacity of the JX?

JX2-C & JX2-S: 1,200 lb standard lift, 600 lb with power drill, and 2,000 lb static capacity. JX5-C & JX5-S: 1,600 lb standard lift, 800 lb with power drill, and 5,000 lb static capacity.

Do I need to grease the gears before use?

No. The JX comes pre-lubricated and ready to use. We recommend greasing the internal gear system every 90 days. Please refer to the product manual for details.

Can I use a drill with the JX? What type and torque setting are recommended?

Yes. Any 20V–24V compact non-impact drill can be used with the Trailer Valet Drill Attachment. Keep the torque as low as possible while still lifting—heavier loads will require higher torque.

Does the JX come with a caster wheel?

Each JX comes standard with a foot plate. A jack wheel (TVJXMW) is available separately.

What type of mount bracket comes with the JX2-S and JX5-S?

The JX2-S includes a spring-loaded pull pin swivel bracket (fits frames up to 4.75" high and 3.75" deep). The JX5-S includes a pipe mount swivel bracket with stow pin and can also use the TVJLMB bracket (sold separately) for frames from 4.75" to 5.75". Both require at least 8 inches of clearance for installation.

What is the best position for installing the JX5-S mount bracket?

The low position is recommended for optimal performance. It can be flipped to a high position if needed.

How much does the JX weigh?

Can the JX be exposed to water or stored outdoors?

Yes. The JX features three layers of weather protection and can be stored outdoors. It can also be submerged briefly, but we recommend rinsing it with fresh water after heavy saltwater exposure.

How do I know when the jack is fully extended or retracted?

The JX includes clearly marked warning and stop indicators on the inner tube to prevent over-extension and protect the internal gear system.
